Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate For Switch Will Feature Link From Breath Of The Wild

Capcom rolled out a new trailer for Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, the upcoming Nintendo Switch release will feature Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The hero from the Switch exclusive will come with his own unique tunic, his bow, and the Master Sword and Hyrulian shield. Of course, you won’t be able to jump into Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch until August 28th next month. In the meantime, though, you’ll be able to check out the

The trailer starts by showcasing the various environments that Switch owners will be able to explore in the upcoming Monster Hunter game after being deprived of Monster Hunter World.

We see Link in his tunic with a cape and cowl. He has his Breath of the Wild gear on, including the bow and arrow set, boots, and even the tablet.

We then see Link traversing through the various levels, including traversing a rickety tree-bridge, scaling a mountainside, and trekking through the fields of snow.

After giving gamers an idea of what sort of exploratory conditions they can expect to encounter in the upcoming hack-and-slash adventure title, the trailer then shifts over to Link’s combat prowess. It’s actually a lot closer to the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild than I thought it would be.

For instance, we see Link fire off a salvo at a monster and down it in one shot and then proceed to gut it and spill its insides out onto the ground like a butcher watching a cow get dismembered in a slaughter house.

After Link cooks some of the monster meat over a spit-roast, we then see him gathering ore, picking plants, and setting traps. During one particular trap, we see the monster get lured in and then Link proceeds to use the bow to unleash some devastating attacks.

It’s here we see that the bow attacks mirror Breath of the Wild, where Link floats in the air and fires off a few explosive shots.

Later in the trailer we see Link with the Sword and shield, battling against the monsters by deflecting incoming attacks and dodging out of the way of fatal blows.

If you enjoy cosplaying as Link in Monster Hunter games and want to get your hands on his Breath of the Wild gear you’ll be able to do so when Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate launches on the Nintendo Switch on the “Gamers are Dead” anniversary starting August 28th, 2018.
