Redeemer: Enhanced Edition Heads To Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch In August With Co-op

Buka Entertainment and Russian outfit Sobaka Studio announced that Redeemer: Enhanced Edition will be making its way to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch next month during August.

The hard-hitting, hardcore, isometric action game came out last year in August on Steam for PC for $14.99. The game was hailed as John Wick meets God of War. It combined plenty of gruesome melee combat with lightning fast projectile combat.

Strangely, the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game will be available for $19.99 but the Nintendo Switch version will be available for $24.99.

The game centers around a former hitman who becomes a recluse monk in the mountains. However, his former corporate boss wants him back and they send a kill squad to get the job done.

You can check out the gameplay trailer below to see what Redeemer plays like.

The game is a nice throwback to the old-school of gaming… the time when men were actually badass and games were designed to entertaining. This was also back when violence in games was actually designed to be fun.

The trailer starts with a cinematic look at the main character talking about the peaceful life while helicopters and gunfire can be heard in the distance, after he grabs his hammer we see him using his hammer to blast the crap out of enemies and shoot the living daylights out of everyone in his way.

New to the Enhanced Edition is the two-player co-op mode that they’ve added to the game, allowing two players to locally team up and take down the baddies. You can also parry melee attacks and launch counter kills.

Once you get done with the campaign mode you can head back into the Arena Mode to hone your skills and work on unlocking additional kill sequences.
