Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Rumored Specs Compared To Galaxy Tab S3 Specs

Samsung launched it’s versatile Android Galaxy Tablet S3 last year back in February 2017, the Samsung website stated that it originally redesigned the 9.7 inch Galaxy Tab S3 with a new glass look, bringing a sleek bright and colorful image. But will Samsung be able to redefine the tablet market again with the rumored upcoming release of the Galaxy Tab S4?

The S3’s AMOLED display gives off a rich deep color that emanates from the 9.7-inch screen, where-as, according to CNET, the S4 will feature a 10.5 inch screen. Something that’s much larger than its year-old predecessor.

The Galaxy S3 tablet offered a Snapdragon 820 chipset processor. The CPU was 18% faster than previous models and sported a quad-core design. According to the rumored specs for the Galaxy Tab S4, it will feature a slightly more powerful processor than the Tab S3, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

The older Galaxy Tab S3 featured an AMOLED touchscreen with support for up to 16M colors, and a resolution of 1536×2048 pixels, the tablet ran on an Android 7.0 Nougat with an upgrade available for Android 8.0 Oreo support. The Galaxy Tab S4 will also supposedly feature an AMOLED touchscreen with Android 8.0 Oreo support.

And since the Tab S3 came with a microSD slot with storage capacity for up to 512 GB,  it’s likely that feature will stay for the Tab S4. The camera on the S3 boasts a 13 mp main camera LED flash, and a secondary camera with 5mp 1080p, along with video offering 2160 p at 30fps, with four stereo speakers. According to the leaked specs of the Tab S4, it will feature two cameras, with an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel camera on the back, according to Android Headlines.

Now the Galaxy Tab S3 came with the Galaxy Game Launcher, which brings Power Saver mode, the ability to mute games, and take advantage of the ongoing calls mode. There was also the Vulkan graphics API support built in from the get-go, which will hopefully stay put for the Galaxy Tab S4.

As far as batteries are concerned… the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet offers a 6000 mAh battery, enabling 12 hours worth of video playback. According to the leaked specs, the Galaxy Tab S4 will feature a 7,300 mAh battery to go along with the much larger screen. The Galaxy Tab S4 will also feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The price point and release date haven’t been ironed out yet, but they’re expected to be detailed at the IFA 2018 trade show set to take place between August 31st and September 5th.
