Xaviant Director of Operations, Josh Van Veld, has posted a new video on the company’s YouTube channel (XaviantLLC) to address the current situation of the studio, the future of The Culling, and what will happen to The Culling 2.
Without further ado, you can watch the newly posted video right here explaining what Van Veld aims or hopes to do in the future regarding Xaviant, The Culling, and the second title known as The Culling 2:
Firstly, let’s start with The Culling (the first game). Xaviant plans on reverting The Culling to its “day 1 build,” while making it free to play. This attempt by Xaviant is to bring back old time fans with the original build and bring in new players since it will be going free. The last thing about The Culling is that this act will restore old features, the combat, and perks found in the older build of the game to make it better from here on out.
Secondly, we have The Culling 2 (the second game). It will no longer exist sometime soon in that Valve (Steam), the Xbox Store, and the PS Store will take it down. And refunds will be handed out to people who paid for The Culling 2.
Thirdly, we have Xaviant Games. The company sounds like it’s not doing too well, but well enough to revamp The Culling in its original form whilst planning to make it free and to later shut down The Culling 2. In other words, will have to wait and see how everything pans out from here.
Finally, folks interested in playing The Culling revamped edition will only be able to do so on PC via a test server. No word on when this server will go up, but I’m sure a future video on XaviantLLC will update you.
With all of that said, what’re your thoughts on this?
