Bright Memory, Sci-Fi FPS Featuring A Hot School Girl Launches Dec 2018

Chinese development outlet, FYQD Studio, released a new trailer for the upcoming FPS game Bright Memory. The game features a young girl blasting through environments, shooting baddies, cutting up monsters, and manipulating reality in pretty significant ways in order to survive.

The Unreal Engine 4-powered first-person shooter was first spotted on the gaming scene way back in the middle of 2017. The demonstration video that the one-man band of Zeng Xiancheng at FYQD Studio rolled out gave gamers a look at the high-concept shooter featuring a school girl with a power glove fighting her way through virtual worlds and fending off military personnel and giant boss monsters alike.

You can see the latest trailer for Bright Memory below, which is due out at the end of the year for PC, courtesy of MathChief.

So just to breakdown the gameplay a little bit: you can traverse through the environment with some platforming elements. You’ll need to time your jumps and utilize the grappling hook on the glove to swing around the stages.

Additionally, you’ll have both melee and long-range projectile attacks at your disposal with the katana and the futuristic military weapons. The melee attacks allow you to take out foes attempting to get in close, while the special skills are necessary to fighting the larger than life boss monsters.

The slow motion and tactical combat reminds me a lot of Monolith Productions’ F.E.A.R., series. A lot of gamers feel that there are some similarities between Bright Memory and Timeshift, while others feel that it looks very similar to Titanfall 2. I’m also getting a small hint of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from the swordplay.

Anyway, you can look for Bright Memory to launch this upcoming December on PC. It’s likely that it will appear on Steam, and maybe with a little help from a publisher like Devolver Digital or Team17 we might get to see it on home console… maybe?
