CD Projekt Red Apologizes To SJWs For Cyberpunk 2077 Gender Joke
Cyberpunk 2077 Transphobic

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 have apologized to Social Justice Warriors for offending them with a tweet that said “Did you just assume their gender?”. That single line sent SJWs over the edge, hurtling all sorts of invectives toward CD Projekt Red. The company quickly deleted the tweet and apologized for offending the easily-offended.

It all started with a post from a Twitter user going by the handle of Ryan, who declared that he wanted more guys, to which the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account responded:

The typical chorus of cacophony echoed throughout the social media silo, as angry Social Justice Warriors came piling out of their safe spaces to attack CD Projekt Red for the tweet.

There were lots of replies and lots of offended SJWs discussing the tweet, so much so that CD Projekt Red deleted the tweet and proceeded to issue an apology several hours later on August 21st, 2018.

Even the apology didn’t go over well with the easily offended crowd. They continued to dogpile on CD Projekt, saying that the apology wasn’t good enough.

Before reading the following tweets, I advise you to proceed with caution or only if you know a good radiologist. You’ve been warned.

Even ResetEra got in on the action, condemning CD Projekt Red for the tweet. A moderator also proceeded to edit the initial post and explain why 12 permanent bans were handed out multiple temporary bans were issued for those who defended CD Projekt Red and those who saw the tweet as a harmless joke. The moderator wrote…

“’Did You Just Assume My Gender?’ is a well known meme that has been used to trivialize and make fun of LGBT concerns since 2016. It specifically mocks transgender people for having preferred pronouns, even though no one ever actually uses the quote in real life. It’s a derogatory stereotype and is inherently transphobic. Any internet search will bring up numerous examples.

“Given that the intent of the meme is to mock the feelings of a marginalized group, it is particularly poor form to dismiss their feelings on this matter. If you do not think you can engage that perspective seriously and respectfully then you should not post. Thank you.”

Essentially, anyone who doesn’t agree with the Intersectional Inquisition’s policy on offense – notarized by the clerics at the Ministry of Marxism no less – are essentially forbidden from posting.

This kind of censorship is quite common in the halls of the Leftist hegemony.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Mexican Standoff

Even more than that, it speaks volumes to the lack of CD Projekt Red’s integrity, given that the company has a strict adherence to placating the audience of perpetually offended individuals.

The company’s digital distribution outlet, GOG.com, also apologized multiple times for offending SJWs with seemingly harmless tweets.

The first time involved a tweet featuring actor Terry Crews as a member of the PC Master Race, which they deleted and apologized for.

The second time was a tweet featuring Postal 2 that referenced #GamerGate, which they also deleted and apologized for. The PR rep for GOG.com even went to ResetEra to grovel and beg for forgiveness from the very hostile and authoritarian forum community.

The company is obviously in favor of bending the knee to the whims of the easily offended. Essentially, the takeaway from all of this is that CD Projekt Red appears to be more focused on courting the SJW crowd than they are actual gamers.
