Cubit Studios Provides New Update Video On Infinitesimals

Cubit Studios has provided an update on the upcoming beautiful game Infinitesimals. The sci-fi action-adventure 1st/3rd person title sees you assuming the role of 1mm tall aliens trying to survive in a giant world.

An upcoming impressive game made only by two people named Infinitesimals is shaping up to be really interesting. The amount of proprietary work the two have come up with is impressive. According to the devs, the game is running on Unreal Engine 4 and is currently slated to release on PC via Steam.

The game is heavily physics reliant, which applies to the game’s animations, lighting system, and the way vehicles operate. Additionally, the devs released a new video showing a bug-like dropship in action, which you can check it out right here:

If you don’t know, vehicles in this game can drop off other vehicles as seen below.

Furthermore, there’s good news surrounding this project in that the UK Games Fund has announced the latest devs for funding grants, which includes Infinitesimals. At this point and time, the exact amount of funds provided is unclear and haven’t been shared yet, but the UK government grant can reach up to £25,000 in an attempt to bring prototype games like Infinitesimals to life.

If you haven’t seen the game in action, the devs have an older trailer showing some rather interesting stuff compiled in a brief overview video:

The game has a lighting system you can check out below, along with a demonstration of how grass reacts to wind motion/physics. However, the grass is non-material based, meaning proper collisions are in the works:

The PC game is still in development and has no release date yet. Progress seems to be going quite well for the two devs, but if you want to keep up with this game you can visit indiedb.com or cubitstudios.com.
