Ebb Software Says Next Week Scorn Will Gain New Info

Ebb Software is still alive and kicking and working hard on Scorn. The latest update made on Twitter reveals that next week Scorn will gain an update. There’s no telling what the update will bring forth, but this will be the latest update since June 6th, 2018.

The beautiful and fleshy game that is Scorn is still under the scalpel, while the devs stitch it up and make sure its presentable to the general public sometime late this year (Q4 2018) for PC. Moreover, if the game does well enough a home console version (PS4 and Xbox One) will be considered.

With all of that said, one of the devs took to Twitter to reply to a user about the lack of Scorn information. You can read both the question and the answer right here:

I should clarify and state that it’s unclear at this point if Ebb Software will put Scorn on consoles “soon.” Also, it’s worth noting that we don’t know if the next update will have relations to the next generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles. In other words, keep your expectation at a reasonable level when next week rolls around.

Taking a look back at the PC version, back on October 23rd, 2017, developer/collaborator Nikola Rakic took to Scorn’s Kickstarter update page to announce that the game will not sport DRM. Rakic re-stressed that notion on November 15th, 2017, that no DRM will be in Scorn by saying the following to backer Richard Bergman:

“We will have a platform for DRM free distribution. It will probably be GOG, but it may be some other platform. So, there will be exactly one platform for DRM free distribution and you’ll be able to download game from there any time. It will be GOG most likely, but we can’t guarantee that.”

While we wait for the Wednesday update on the game that will feature a non-DRM edition at launch, you can look over beautiful gameplay footage from 2017:
