The company Garmin is known for providing a variety of innovative sports and fitness activity tracking devices. On June 3rd, 2018 the company released the Vivoactive 3 and the Vivoactive 3 music smartwatch, the Vivoactive 3 offers the option of purchasing with music or without.
The Vivocative 3 comes in four different color choices with only one color offering the choice of music or no music, that is the color black with stainless hardware retailing for $299.99 with music, and without music it retails for $269.99. The black with slate hardware does not offer music and retails for $299.99, the white with stainless hardware retails for $269.99, and the color white with rose gold hardware retails for $299.99 both do not offer music as an option.
The general specs for the Vivocative 3 are as follows: It weights 43.0 gram, and fits wrists with the circumference of 127-204 mm, with a 1.2 -inch diameter of display size; the display resolution is 240 x 240 with a touchscreen. It offers quick release bands, and a battery life with up to 5 days, but using combo of GPS and music expect a maximum of 5 hours, memory/history offers 7 timed activities and up to 14 days of activity tracking data, and it’s waterproofed up to 50 meters.
The clock features: Time/date, GPS time sync, automatic daylight saving time, alarm clock, timer, and a stopwatch. As far as sensors on the Vivoactive 3, there are 7 sensors, GPS, Glonass, Garmin elevate wrist heart rate monitor, Barometric altimeter, Compass, Accelrometer and a Thermometer.
As far as daily smart Features are concerned, the Garmin Vivocative 3 offers Bluetooth Smart and ANT+, Connect IQ, smart notifications, and text response/eject phone call with text (Android only). other brands can receive notifications but can not return reply. Calendar, Weather, Controls smartphone music, Find my Phone, Find my Watch, VIRB Camera Remote, Smartphone compatibility (iPhone and Android), Garmin Pay, and it’s compatible with Garmin Connect Mobile.
Moving on to more amenities from the Vivoactive 3… it offers step counter, auto goal ( this feature actually learns your activities and then assigns a daily step goal,) sleep monitoring, calories burned, floors climbed, distance traveled, intensity minutes, TrueUp, Movie IQ, fitness age and all-day stress tracking.
For the fitness equipment/gym – Garmin has you covered. users can expect to see a Gym activity – strength training, cardio training, elliptical training, stair stepping floor climbing, indoor rowing and yoga, strength workouts, and automatic rep counting.
Users can also expect to find training, planning and analysis features – GPS speed and distance, customizable data pages, customizable activity profiles, auto pause, advanced workouts, downloadable training plans, auto lap, manual lap, confiqurable lap alerts, V02 max, customizable alerts, LiveTrack, touch and/or button lock, auto scroll, and activity history on the watch.
The Vivoactive 3 also covers heart rate features – HR zones, HR alerts, HR calories, HR max, and HR broadcast.
Running features cover: running profiles, GPS- based distance time and pace, run workouts, and foot pod compatibility. For golf lovers, the golfing features are: Yardage to F/M/B, yardage to layups/dogiegs, measures shot distance, digital scorecard, Stat tracking, Garmin AutoShot, green view with manual pin position, hazards and course targets, pinpointer, round timer/odometer.
Outdoor recreation features cover a number of activities, including: Skiing, snowboarding, XC skiing, stand-up paddle-boarding, and rowing. For the cyclists, the Vivoactive 3 offers outdoor and indoor biking, time/distance alerts, speed and cadence sensor support compatible with varia radar, and varia lights.
