Lunacy: Saint Rhodes, Horror Game With Adaptive Scares Announced For PC

Lazarus Studio and Iceberg Interactive announced that Lunacy: Saint Rhodes is currently in the works for PC and is slated to release at some point in 2019 next year. The game was finally formally announced after a demo was supplied to YouTubers and made available on itch.io.

The team has plans on evolving the game far beyond what was featured in the demo, and give gamers a creepy journey into a murder that took place within the main character’s family. You take on the role of a man looking for clues at an ancestral home located in the creepy old town of Saint Rhodes.

You’ll be guided through the game by The Author, while exploring hidden crevices and dusty rooms for clues while monsters roam the streets and creatures scour through the night.

The game has a non-linear level design so there will be backtracking and a lot of exploration. To help make things more intense, the game uses a dynamic director similar to Left 4 Dead, so that no two play experiences will be alike, and the environment and dangers will adapt to your play-style. You can get a glimpse of what the game is like with the trailer below.

Graphically the game is very similar to P.T. Demo, and it also has a lot of similar visual stylings as Silent Hill.

The end of the trailer attempts to portray the game as having some sort of a extra-dimensional horror element to it beyond the spectral ghosts and creatures that are teased throughout the rest of the trailer.

This doesn’t appear to be much like Reborn where you’ll have weapons at your disposal to fight against the monsters, but instead you’ll likely have to run and hide from the creatures.

The game is still a long ways off from release, but you can learn more about Lunacy: Saint Rhodes or wishlist the game by visiting the Steam store page.
