Maximum Action Brings Slow Motion Low-Poly Action To PC This September

Are you looking for a game that hearkens back to 1990’s shooters? Do you miss playing games that aim to be fun and ridiculous? Well, it looks like developer George Mandell and publisher BalloonMooseGames will bring just that this September through Maximum Action.

Sure, it’s safe to say that Maximum Action’s graphics are nothing to write home about, but that’s a bit beside the point. The indie dev aims to bring fun and crazy action front and center Q3 2018.

When I bring up “crazy” action, I don’t mean like fast-paced run and gun stuff, I mean like this kind of crazy stuff:

Well, if you want that kind of maximum dismemberment and crazy action, do know that all of the above and more will be compiled into a single-player package.

In addition to the above, expect to blaze through enemies using physics-based sliding, diving, and drop-kicking. Expect to utilize “action time” mechanics, wield a variety of pistols, shotguns, sub-machine guns, and rifles, or dual wield any weapon to make the deadliest combinations by showing your masterful skill with extreme blood and gib as the results.

Anyway, you can check out and see all of the aforementioned via the “Happy New Year, Part 2” video trailer:

If you’re not a fan of low-poly designs, that’s understandable. However, if you’re looking for an action game that draws inspiration from games like Max Payne and the original Soldier of Fortune, flaunting bullet time and gore, I think this game is worth keeping an eye on.

Sadly, if you want to play Maximum Action right now, you’ll need to wait. The first-person shooter that opts for crazy action is currently scheduled to make its debut on Steam Early Access sometime in September of this year.
