Hello Games has released a new update titled 1.57, and for those using the duplication glitch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One wondering if it has been patched will find that it hasn’t. According to a certain YouTuber, another part of the existing dupe glitch has been found in No Man’s Sky Next that works on patch 1.57.
Notice: The following duplication method of the older version may be patched in the future and should be acted on now if you want to duplicate more valuable items. As of this writing, the alternate version of the dupe glitch still works (after patch 1.57), but may not after August 18th, 2018.
The alternate duplication glitch is fairly easy to do if you already know the rules behind it. However, if you need help, instructions lie right here.
To do the old version of the dupe glitch, you will need to find a planet, land on it and search for a flat surface. Place your refiner down, put the item you want in and put two refiners directly in front and behind it instead of beside it. Doing this might take some time, but once mastered you should be able to replicate it every time.
You can see YouTuber Tasty Penguin do the dupe glitch on the latest patch right here:
According to Tasty Penguin, make sure to get three refineries. Place one and put an item you wish to exploit in it. Place the other two as close as you can in front and behind it — not on the side of it. The item should appear in all three (like the Nanites) refineries. However, you can take out the item while it’s converting and it will keep coming back.
In addition to the above, take the new exploit item and pack up your refineries and repeat the process.
No Man’s Sky Next is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
