Dharker Studio recently took to Twitter to update fans on the status of their upcoming games and why they haven’t been able to release Negligee: Love Stories yet on Steam. According to the studio, they have to wait on Valve’s approval when the new mature content filter is finalized, but it could be months before that happens.
On August 23rd, 2018 Dharker Studios made the following post on Twitter.
More info from steam, apparently Negligee: Love Stories is still too suggestive even with censored scenes. And considering all four stories included are quite adult in nature, perhaps that is a fair judgement. Only time will tell if other games of ours will be held as well.

At present, the company’s latest game, Negligee: Love Stories, is currently being withheld from release. The studio jokingly has a release date of “When Steam Says Ok” over on the Store page.
So when will Valve give the “O.K” to release the game on Steam? Well, some fans followed up with that very question and Dharker Studio responded with the following.
Steam have been working on new parental controls and filters for games with adult content and other content that some people dont want to see. Anyway Steam have now said that it will take ‘months’ before they are completed.

This was also corroborated by another developer working with MangaGamer, who posted a screenshot from the private developer forums on Steam, which features Valve’s Sean J., telling Dharker Studios that it will be months before the content filter is complete.
I had this shared with me, looks like publishing games with any kind of suggestive content is screwed for the foreseeable future. https://t.co/eN29vSYO1n

If you’re unable to read the text, Sean J., from Valve states…
“We’re right in the middle of building some features into Steam for customers to be able to choose the type of products they see in the store. Your game has content in it that needs these features to be completed and shipped first. You’ll have to do some additional store page work around describing the content in your game once we have completed those features. We don’t have an exact timeline for those features though, please be patient as we complete the work.”
This is a near identical response to what Valve told Dank Boi Games who asked Valve about the time line for the filters because the game Gay Nation was being withheld from release on Steam due to making a satirical story about the gay apocalypse after Russia bombs America with the dreaded Gay Bomb.
However, when Dank Boi Games further questioned Valve’s content policies and the inconsistency in what games they allow on the store, the software release manager at Valve banned Dank Boi Games and their games from the Steam store.
In the case of Dharker Studios, Valve wasn’t quite as harsh, and when pressed further for a response, Sean J., stated…
“Assume months at this point. The work is progressing, but not close enough to give a time frame.”
Dharker Studios also asked about what sort of content they could remove from the game in order to make it more viable for release without being put behind the filter, but Valve failed to respond.
I did previously reach out to Valve about the filter and the content policies they have for some games while not applying those standards to other games, but the company failed to respond.
As for Negligee: Love Stories… if you’ve been waiting for the game to release you’ll have to keep waiting a while longer, perhaps even months.
