Strange Brigade Launch Trailer Reveals Free DLC Character For Early Adopters

Rebellion’s Strange Brigade is set to release on August 28th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The developers sent out a new launch trailer covering the game’s general content and play functions, as well as revealing that during the first month of release, players will be able to get their hands on a free playable character named Winston Bey, who is part of the Gentleman Explorer Pack.

Winston will be available for a limited time shortly before and after launch, and it will be free to everyone who purchases for the first month of release.

No information about Winston Bey was revealed, so we have no idea what his skillset looks like or how he plays. What we do know is that he comes with a large, custom-made hunting rifle and appears to be decked out in British hunting attire.

As mentioned, we don’t get to see Winston in action, but we do get an overview of all the content featured in Strange Brigade. You can check out the trailer below.

The trailer starts by covering the basic premise of the four main characters traveling to the exotic locations to face off against hordes of mummies, zombies, and undead assassins.

You’ll have third-person over-the-shoulder gameplay to satisfy the bulk of the action, very similar to Rebellion’s Sniper Elite: Zombie Army Trilogy.

The big difference between Sniper Elite and Strange Brigade is that not only does it have four-player cooperative gameplay, but it also comes with more than just over-the-shoulder shooting. You’ll have to actually trek through a trap-filled gauntlet of stages in order to complete them, and you’ll also have to work with other players (or the AI controlled teammates) to solve the various puzzles in each level, not unlike the Resident Evil games.

To top it all off there are boss fights, item scavenging, and weapon looting as well. You can look for Strange Brigade to launch next week on August 28th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
