Unending Dusk, Beat ‘Em Up 2D Game To Hit Steam This Year

Looking to play a 2D beat ’em up game? You might find one that tickles your fancy in the form of Unending Dusk. Indie publisher and developer Vindicate Games will release the fighting game for PC via Steam Early Access sometime in 2018.

The well-drawn indie pixel game, Unending Dusk, boasts beat ’em up mechanics front and center. The game takes place in a dystopian future and is said to mix elements of “traditional arcade” beat ’em ups and RPG features all in one.

The act of fighting through hordes is a thing, challenging difficult bosses will be present, and upgrading your character as you progress through the story will also help flesh out the game content.

Furthermore, if you enjoy playing games by yourself, the option to run solo will be included at launch. However, if you like to hunker down with other people, Unending Dusk allows you to team up with friends through online co-op (1-4 players).

As for the game’s story, Unending Dusk explores a point and time where the distant future is desolate and void of hope. You assume the role of an elite mercenary who must fight against a “dark force” and prevail victorious to set the Earth free from a state of “unending dusk,” as explained below:

“Unending Dusk is a retro beat ‘em up set in a post-apocalyptic world. Play solo or with up to four players and brawl your way through hordes of enemies. Set in a desolate future, you play as an elite mercenary who must fight against a dark force who has locked the Earth in a state of unending dusk.”

The game’s official website doesn’t seem to be up right now. However, if you want to stay up to date regarding all things Unending Dusk you can visit the team’s Facebook, Twitter account, or Steam page.
