IVR’s V-Katsu, a program for virtual streamers, has gone live for free over on the Steam store. The program is currently in Early Access and still being iterated on and improved upon. However, you can still grab the program for free.
The program is an avatar-making program that allows you to design characters and outfit them in ways that best suits the kind of virtual character you want to represent your livestreaming content.
There’s also integration support with VR devices like the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift so that the 3D avatars can mimic your hand and head movements while using the headset during your livestreams. You can see a demonstration of the software in action, which goes through some of the customization features and clothing options available in the current build.
You can modify the clothing types, add accessories such as horns, wings, tails, headphones and other accessories to the characters. You can modify the hair styles, the eye-types, and colorize just about every aspect of the character from head-to-toe.
The best part about it is that the characters have dynamic book physics, so when you have a large-breasted waifu on the screen and she starts moving and shaking like the ground beneath her is a spinning top on an pencil-thin axis, you’ll see those tongue-magnets bounce and wobble like a car with bad shocks.
The highly detailed customization features are very similar to the other virtual character streamer, VRoid Studio. You can also save and store all of the characters you make and select them when it’s time to use them for your streaming session.
And yes, you can also make dudes, assuming you want to waste time making guys. But we all know this is designed so you can create the ultimate waifu. The files are also saved in VRMs so you can export them to other programs that can read 3D VRM files, as well as use your avatar for livestreaming on services like Twitch.tv and YouTube.
You can grab a free copy of V-Katsu right now by visiting the Steam store page.
