Raphael Joins The Growing Roster Of Soul Calibur VI

If you are an avid fan of Soul Calibur VI, you’ll know that returning characters like Cervantes and Raphael were leaked well ahead of their initial reveal trailers. As of now, Bandai Namco has officially revealed the master of the rapier Raphael. The fighting game in question is set to launch in October across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

That’s right, the man wielding the Flambert and possesses great speed and agility has returned. Still sporting the fighting style of a fencer (La Rapière des Sorel) and using his trusty rapier on the field, we can see Raphael back in action.

Although I’m not a fan of his glasses/mask thingy, you can check out the man who was once from a noble family to living like a vagabond in Spain right here thanks to Bandai Namco and 876TV:

“”Let’s dance!” Raphael the master of fencing returns in SOULCALIBUR VI! He brings his agile swordsmanship back to the Stage of History!”

Raphael players will be able to deliver deadly blows to opponents through powerful thrusts and slashes. His quick speed and agility will make him an opponent that’s difficult to hit and defend against on the battlefield.

In addition to the above, he also sports a varied move-set where he can pop opponents in the air, pull out short but surprising moves like stomps and dance around the arena to swivel past fatal attacks to deal significant damage of his own.

I’m sure he’ll be a worthy character both to play and fight against at launch, but time will tell how well Raphael will hold up against DLC characters moving forward.

Lastly, more Soul Calibur VI information will surface regarding characters, stages and more in the near future given that there is still one more game mode that has yet to be revealed over on the game’s Japanese website.

Soul Calibur VI is set to release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 19th, 2018.
