Devolver Digital may have cut short some of the hype for Gamepires’ Scum by stepping in with their whole anti-Nazi stance, where they didn’t want Nazi symbolism appearing as tattoos on violent prisoners in a game about violent prisoners trapped on an island where they kill and eat each other. Some have taken it as Devolver kowtowing to SJWs, others see it as Devolver protecting Nazis from being displayed in a negative light, which also makes sense given that SJWs adopt and employ Nazi authoritarian principles, so why would you want to display Nazis in a negative light if you agree with their principles? Anyway, if you’ve been playing Scum and having a hard time surviving in the harsh and unforgiving world, there are some cheats for you.
The first cheat trainer for Scum is available for free from over on the Mr. Antifun page.
The cheat trainer contains the following options:
- Stable Temperature
- Stable Vitals
- No Hunger
- Empty Bladder
- Empty Colon
- Inf.Blood Volume
The cheats will allow you to bypass all of the minutiae of trying to gather supplies and stay alive in the hardcore survival simulator. This means you no longer have to plop a deuce, or eat some wildlife, or drink non-piss to stay hydrated. Instead you can just toggle a switch and stay healthy, just like the pacemakers on Dick Cheney’s heart.
There’s a second cheat trainer available, but it’s a premium trainer from Cheat Happens.
The Scum cheats from the trainer are listed below:
- Unlimited Health
- High Stamina
- Set Low Heartrate/Pressure
- Reset Thirst
- Reset Hunger
- Set Blood Volume
- Reset Bladder Volume
- Reset Colon Volume
- Reset Body Temp
- Set Lung Perfusion
- Set Blood Oxygen Level
- Reset Nutrition/Minerals/Vitamins
There are no special requirements to make use of the cheats, but do keep in mind that if you choose to play the game online then you’re running the risk of having your account VAC banned, and you don’t want to be VAC banned. Otherwise you’ll have to pretend as if your little brother hopped onto your account and got you banned, and then you’ll have to pretend like you share the account with your father, and attempt to convince Valve to unban you.
Anyway, Scum is currently available over on the Steam store in Early Access for $19.99.
The user review rating is still currently mixed as the developers attempt to iron out the connectivity and performance issues during the Early Access phase. The game itself is about surviving on an island as part of a television program that chronicles the survival of high-risk prisoners attempting to fight, shoot, and kill their way toward freedom. Imagine a mix of The Condemned meets The Hunger Games.
Had Devolver Digital not censored the Nazi symbols the only thing looming over the game’s head would have been the performance issues, but now they have a censorship issue looming over their head as well. Anyway, the cheat trainers are available for any and everyone who wants to cheat their way through Scum.
