Some Battlefield V Devs Are Moving To Work On Star Wars: Battlefront 2

It’s unclear how this November will turn out for Battlefield V given that it has to go up against Fallout 76 and the newly announced Red Dead Redemption 2‘s online mode, but it seems that there will be some DICE developers attention split working on Battlefield V and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 or fully devoted to the latter game as of right now.

Having played Battlefield V‘s open beta, I can confirm that it’s glitchy and has a lot of problems. Given that the game has stirred up the hornet’s nest in the promotional, pre-order and gameplay department, you would think that EA and DICE would focus heavily on Battlefield V especially since it’s missing features like dragging players and so on, but there’s another side to the story.

According to YouTuber Battlefront Knight and some DICE devs, the latter (as of this moment) is either working on both Battlefield V and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 or has their full attention on Battlefront 2.

You can look over the video that YouTuber Battlefront Knight has up on his YouTube channel below:

If you skipped out on the video, you can see some of the tweets mentioned right here:

And another tweet can be seen here stating the aforementioned:

In the above video, Battlefront Knight makes mention that more devs are “leaving” to go work on Star Wars: Battlefront 2, but I do wonder if two months and an unmentioned number of devs moving away from Battlefield V (a game that has very weak pre-orders) is a wise idea?

Well, I guess time will tell how Star Wars: Battlefront 2 DLC will pan out and how Battlefield V will fare with some devs moving away or divided later this year.

As mentioned above, we’ll see how EA and DICE’s Battlefield V holds up against titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode and Fallout 76 this November.
