Todd Howard Shows Off The Elder Scrolls: Blades On The iPhone XS MAX

Todd Howard showed up to Apple’s September 2018 keynote to show off The Elder Scrolls: Blades on the new iPhone XS MAX. The upcoming mobile game based on The Elder Scrolls series will release on iOS and Android devices sometime in 2018.

If you don’t know, The Elder Scrolls: Blades is an upcoming RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The mobile game will release as a free-to-play title later this year.

In an attempt to drive home what Blades has going for it, the top man at Bethesda himself, Todd Howard, took to the stage at Apple’s September keynote to detail all the bells and whistles found in the game.

According to Howard, we can see the “massive first-person role-playing game” like never before where you can define your own character in “an incredible world.” The video also highlights wonderful phrases such as:

“You can see the lighting of these crystals bloom reflect off of the water.”

“We can have that lighting bounce off of the walls.”

“We can even have it reflect off of your sword.”

Mhmm, it all just works.

Anyway, you can watch part of the keynote right here where Howard walks us through the realm of Blades thanks to VentureBeat:

I should note that you can play this game with one hand, while the other hand does other things according to Howard. However, we should keep in mind that even though you can play Blades with one hand, do know that you should not be a “degenerate.”

On a serious note, there is a sign-up program over on bethesda.net/play where you have the chance to play the mobile game early. You should be able to play Blades on any recent iOS or Android device.

Last but not least, you can find out more about The Elder Scrolls: Blades by hitting up bethesda.net.
