Ubisoft Releases 11 Minutes Of Starlink: Battle For Atlas Gameplay

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an upcoming third-person space-shooter developed by Ubisoft. The upcoming game is currently set to debut this year on October 16th on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Ahead of its due date is a new video walking viewers through 11 minutes of gameplay footage.

The video featuring a narrator that uses a monotonous voice to describe a game that isn’t the most flashy — well when it comes to this particular trailer — can seem like a bore-fest. However, you can be the judge of that by taking a look at what Ubisoft has to offer next month right here:

For those clueless as to what Ubisoft aims to bring to the gaming scene this October, folks will find that Battle for Atlas sees you in a group of “heroic interstellar pilots,” dedicated to saving the Atlas star system from the Forgotten Legion — a crass robot force.

In addition to gameplay features, Battle for Atlas is said to bring a “whole new gameplay experience.” This experience can be achieved by building your own modular Starship models, mounting it on your controller, and watching it unfold in real time as you take part in “epic space” battles.

For those who opt to play the Switch version will find that Star Fox comes in as exclusive content. This add-on content features Fox McCloud, his Arwing, and bonus missions. It’s unclear what these missions are, but I’m sure they’re like the base missions with Star Fox-themed objectives sprinkled throughout the game.

And lastly, you can travel “seamlessly” through the strange worlds of the Atlas star system. Each planet is said to have its own identity, ecosystem, and wildlife that present “many challenges.” The Atlas star system is said to evolve depending on your actions and your choices, meaning that everything you do has an impact on your journey, and enemies will react and fight back “intelligently” to take back the star system.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is set to hit PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 16th, 2018.
