While a bunch of developers out of San Francisco, Canada, Sweden, Portland, and Seattle focus on wasting time and money building sociopolitical agitprop while attempting to pass off their indoctrination tools as interactive entertainment, plenty of developers in Poland have made (and are making) real games designed to be played by actual gamers. Valve seems to want to celebrate developers who don’t treat their products like political brainwashing tools, which is precisely why there’s a current sale going on with games that are discounted for up to 90% off the normal asking price.
The sale is in honor of Poland celebrating 100 years of independence from 1918 to 2018.
You can check out the long list of games over on the Steam Polish sale page.
It features a ton of awesome games, including Flying Wild Hog’s Hard Reset Redux, which is one of the few titles marked down by 90% off, so instead of paying $19.99 you only have to pay $1.99.
There are fan-favorite franchises like Sniper: Ghost Warrior that are marked down by up to 80% off from City Interactive and CI Games.
Mystery oriented games like The Astronaut’s The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is also discounted by 85% off for only $2.99, along with Scarlett Mysteries: Cursed Child, which you can grab for 40% off for only $5.99.
More recent games like X-Morph: Defense are also slashed in price even though it just recently came out. You can get it for half off, meaning you only pay $9.99. It’s a pretty cool game that combines tower-defense gameplay, real-time strategy tactics, and twin-stick shooting action.
Madmind Studios’ highly controversial Agony has also been discounted by 50% off, so you only pay $14.99 for it. However, it would probably be best to just get Agony Unrated, which is available for the exact same price but you also get your hands on all the unrated content, completely uncensored, featuring guro sex, infanticide, lots more uncensored gore, and tons more female nudity that includes gruesome mutilation. So if you’re into seeing chicks get butchered in hell, Agony Unrated is your game.
A bunch of simulators are also available as well, including Demolish and Build 2018, Turbo Soccer VR for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and Ultimate Fishing Simulator.
And of course, CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher trilogy is discounted, too.
Obviously you’ll want to play the game on PC to get the most out of the graphics, and to experience The Witcher the way it was intended, without all the race-swapping and sociopolitical agendas being injected into the upcoming streaming series by Netflix.
If you’re looking to support real developers, the Polish Steam sale is going on right now. But be sure to get in on the deals soon because they end on November 9th. And remember, these are the sort of deals you won’t find on the Xbox One or PS4.
