Given that majority of the news these days is about censorship, bans, and deplatforming, it seemed like a good idea to take a break from that news for an article or two and inform people about an upcoming VR title for the PlayStation VR.
Inner Space and Vertigo Games released a new trailer for the game A Fisherman’s Tale. The new trailer is a 360 degree trailer, allowing gamers to view the world of the upcoming VR game from a complete perspective.
The five minute trailer starts with a story about a puppet and the fisherman, and then it transitions over to the fisherman journeying out into the sea, where he ends up having his ship wrecked.
The 360 degree trailer is more like a 460 degree trailer, as users can look all the way around as well as up and down, getting a full scope of what the game world will be like. The trailer was built for VR headsets, but you can watch it just fine without Sony’s VR HMD.
After being shipwrecked and making his way back to the old lighthouse, the fisherman finds himself transported into the role of the puppet from the beginning of the trailer. After he finds himself trapped within the puppet, the story trailer comes to an end.
The five minute art project was just an introductory video to the world of A Fisherman’s Tale. The full game will center around the fisherman as a puppet as he attempts to get to the top of the lighthouse and turn on the light, only to encounter some odd sidekicks and bizarre things taking place outside of the lighthouse.
I still don’t know exactly what’s going on with the game or what the actual gameplay is like, but you can expect to see A Fisherman’s Tale arrive on the PlayStation VR headset starting January 22nd, 2019.
