Codemasters rolled out a brand new trailer for DiRT Rally 2.0 featuring a historical look back at the the progression of rally racing through the ages.
The trailer is only a little over a minute long, but it gives you a prime time look at the sport starting back in the 1960s with the Aline Renault A110 and then moves up to the 1970s, where the Ford Escort MK II tears up the dirt tracks and takes some mean jumps. We then proceed to the 1980s, where the Audi Quattro S1 E3 shows how to dominate the rally tracks in England, just before we get a brief snippet of the Subaru Impreza from 1995, showing off how to attack the tight turns of a dirt track during an autumn-laced in the forest.
You can check out the trailer below.
The trailer then rounds out showing off all of the old-school, classic car types that will be making a return to form in DiRT Rally 2.0.
This trailer follows hot on the heels of a previous trailer, which covered a lot of the new features and improvements being made to the upcoming game, including the all new overhaul of the tire model physics, all new road surface physics, which changes the way the vehicles handle on different road surfaces, and how the new weather and tracks will all play a part in the upcoming racing game.
The game looks as gorgeous as ever, featuring some of the sexiest looking rally cars around, along with some of the best looking tracks featured in a rally racing game. Essentially Codemasters wants to improve on DiRT Rally in every single aspect and so far it looks like thay are.
