Twitter provocateur, #GamerGate supporter, and spicy connoisseur of Bowser dick-pics, GamingAndPandas (also known as Lo-Ping) was a jocular Twitter user that gave his 22,000 followers something funny and spicy to experience throughout the day. He was also adamant about pointing out many of the Social Justice Warriors who turned out to be sex pests, pedophiles, and rapists. Well, he was quite astute just up until he was targeted by Social Justice Anarcho-Communists who have been gunning to get certain gays removed from Twitter.
So what happened? Well, it all started with a breezy evening on December 8th, 2018. The stars were huddled in the corner of the moon’s light, tucked away behind the icy mist of traveling clouds moving across the night sky like wandering vagrants. GamingAndPandas was getting in the holiday spirit by attempting to spread festive cheer before some of the Twitter denizens tucked in their digital personas and grabbed some shut eye… just until an Anarcho-Communist hopped into the thread to issue a threat after GamingAndPandas began poking the Communist bear.
User deathwish9x_XBL captured a screenshot of the exchange, which you can view below.
GamingAndPandas began to continue to joke about the situation, and poke fun at Communists while playfully responding to a group of individuals (including the Anarcho-Communists) with a biting bit of sarcasm about gays and Communists not always getting along very well throughout the ages. These jokes came mostly at the expense of the Communists, angering them to the point of retaliation, and oh boy did they retaliate.
A couple of days later on December 12th, Twitter was in no mood for nuance or context, and was quick to respond to a barrage of reports by banning GamingAndPandas for joking, calling a certain tweet in questrion “Hateful Conduct“.
Astolfhole captured the tweet that Twitter flagged, which you can check out below.
GamingAndPandas attempted to appeal the account suspension, explaining to Twitter support what befell his account. You can check out the e-mail message below.
If you’re unable to read the appeal, it states…
“My account was suspended due to “hateful conduct”. The tweet that was cited for this ban was a tweet in reply to a friend in which were flirting back and forth about our sexuality.
“These tweets in no way promoted violence against or directly attacked or threatened any other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease. It was coy flirting back and forth between two friends.
“I recently came out as homosexual and an advocate of gay rights on the account, and since then have been receiving waves of harassment and aggression due to this. The same group of people that have been harassing me online and in real life have mass-flagged that tweet in which we were flirting in order to further harass and marginalize me.
“Coy flirting between two friends is about the farthest thing possible you can get from “Hateful Conduct” as you can get. The reports were intentionally malicious in nature, and the subsequent ban was in error.”
Twitter took note of the well-parsed, and fluidly written appeal, something the likes of which one might ponder upon wistfully while the icy remnants of a daiquiri ice flee from the corners of the cup and down the parched edges of your throat.
Even still, this thoughtful appeal fell on deaf ears. Twitter’s response was as cold and callous as an ex-girlfriend starfishing during a one night rebound, all so she could forget about that previous one-night stand with that Tinder date called “Regret”.
If you’re unable to read the message, it states…
“Your account has been suspended and will not be restored because it was found to be violating Twitter’s Terms of Service, specifically the Twitter Rules against hateful conduct.
“It is against our rules to promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease.”
Basically it was an automated response from Twitter.
Then again, what else would you expect? Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Patreon have been censoring a lot of politically incorrect figures lately. In fact, YouTube just permanently banned Mumkey Jones for parodying incels. At this point, many social media services have become “no fun allowed” zones where anyone who is right of Mao is subject for a permanent ban.
GamingAndPandas is still in Twitter jail, and the suspension appears to be permanent, even though there’s literally nothing hateful about the comment.
