Hidetaka Miyazaki Says There Are 2 From Software Titles In The Works

In a recent interview that went down before the end of 2018, we learn that Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of From Software, confirmed there are two unannounced titles currently in the works. Sadly, no date, time, or names have been offered, but Miyazaki did hint that the two games will hold familiar From Software gameplay mechanics.

Like clockwork, many people who picked up on this news believe that one of the two games will be a sequel or something related to Bloodborne, say like Bloodborne 2. Although I’m sure a large number of folks out there would like such a thing, the only grounded information that we have right now is that From Software is developing “two games.”

The above-mentioned information comes from publication site gematsu.com (archive.is) via 4gamer.net.

According to the named websites, we learn from Miyazaki that in a little more time gamers and fans alike will be able to hear more about the two products once they take shape. You can read a translated excerpt from the two-part interview below:

“While it isn’t the time to discuss details, they’re both [From Software]-esque games. We’ll need a little more time, but we’ll be able to tell everyone more about them once they take shape.”

In other words, sometime during the early to mid-parts of 2019 expect info on these pair of games in development.

Furthermore, we also learn from Miyazaki that the studio’s development contains 3.5 product lines — as mentioned in a June 2016 interview. These product lines contain the following:

  • Deracine – (0.5)
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – (1.0)
  • Unannounced Titles – (2.0)

Last but not least, the above publication sites note Miyazaki clarifying that titles such as Dark Souls Remastered and Metal Wolf Chaos XD are not included in the 3.5 product lines. Additionally, Dark Souls Remastered and Metal Wolf Chaos XD were requested by Bandai Namco and Devolver Digital, so there’s that for clarification.

Anyway, if you want to play detective and learn more about these two games, you can hit up 4gamer.net.
