Capcom and Ubisoft have teamed up together for a Monster Hunter: World crossover DLC pack that includes content from Assassin’s Creed. This includes various costumes based on the heroes from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, including Bayek and Ezio.
Capcom, however, added their own flair to the Assassin’s getup, including making the female garb look pretty sexy by having the side of their thighs and hips completely exposed, so you definitely know the difference between the males and the females.
The content includes Bayek’s layered armor and Assassin’s hood, along with the classic Ezio gear and hood. It appears as if a new shield has also been added to the game, which you can view in the new promo trailer below.
The new Assassin’s Creed DLC will also come with a new mission to earn Snu’s Feather. This will require defeating a series of monsters either solo or with a group of other hunters… or Assassins.
The DLC is scheduled to go live for the Xbox One and PS4 starting January 10th, 2019 while the PC version will receive the DLC at a later date, likely laced with some form of DRM that will cause a bunch of people to complain about it and then maybe Capcom will have to pay the developers to remove it, even though they could have saved tons of cash by just not having the DRM to begin with.
Anyway, Monster Hunter: World was one of the few games that sold millions of copies throughout 2018 without requiring a super expensive marketing campaign. It also managed to perform rather strongly out of the gate compared to various other AAA titles released this year like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 76, and Battlefield V. In fact, Monster Hunter: World moved more than 10 million copies according to Capcom’s financials.
You can look for the new Assassin’s Creed DLC to go live for the game starting next Thursday.
