NotMyCar, Twisted Metal-Style Battle Royale Game Beta Test Starts December 8th

Skybound Games and NMC Studios announced that for a limited time only you’ll be able to hop into the beta test for NotMyCar, the upcoming vehicular Battle Royale game coming out for PC. A brand spanking new trailer just dropped along with news about how to sign-up for the beta, which must be done by Friday at 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time.

If you want to get in on the beta, you’ll need to visit the official NotMyCar.com website.

Register before Friday and the team will send you a key so you can participate in the beta between December 8th and December 9th.

They rolled out a trailer to give you a small taste of what the gameplay is like, which you can check out below.

The game will launch on Steam for PC at some point in 2019. The test drive will be a closed beta session that allows gamers to test out the gameplay, get a grip on how some of the vehicles behave, and how some of the weapons function.

NotMyCar still operates on the last car standing principle just like other Battle Royale Games out there where you have to kill every other opponent within the sandbox and attempt to become the last car running.

You’ll still drop in from the sky like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or Fortnite, and then you’ll drive around to collect gear and then attempt to destroy your opponents.

Visually the game looks decent enough, and the customization seems to afford players with some measure of being able to individualize your ride to stand out from the rest of the herd.

I don’t know if this is a better concept than games like Crossout or Fractured Lands, the latter of which allows you to get out of your car, gear up and battle both on foot or in your own customized vehicle. I suppose we’ll get some decent feedback from the gaming community once the closed beta for NotMyCar gets underway.

You can keep track of the game or wishlist it from over on the Steam store page right now, ahead of its official release.
