Project Hentai Web Store Banned By Shopify
Shopify Bans Project Hentai

If you had plans on purchasing H-content from the manga publisher Project Hentai, you won’t be able to do so for the time being. The Canadian-based point-of-retail facilitator, Shopify, had Project Hentai’s web shop shut down, so you won’t be able to purchase digital content from Project Hentai.

The news comes courtesy of a post over on the Project H Twitter account on December 18th, 2018, where the outfit – which sells mangas and other hentai material – announced that digital purchases are indefinitely suspended until they can get their shop back online after Shopify banned their store.

In a follow-up tweet they noted that digital purchases won’t be available right now, but that some of the content could be made available for free on Discord.

If you attempt to visit the ProjectHentai.com website, you’re met with an error screen that tells you that the web shop is unavailable.

This kind of censorship and overt authoritarianism has been kicking into play at full force, with Valve banning a bunch games, Sony banning a bunch of games, Tumblr banning porn, Google banning Artstation and games, Patreon banning anti-SJWs, Reddit banning lolis, and now Shopify banning web shops.

Some people have pointed to the FOSTA law coming into play, but that only applies to the U.S., and not Canadian shops, and it also only relates to communications based on solicitation, not product sales.

In any case, all of this censorship has become quite overbearing, and there has to be a breaking point coming soon.
