SJW MMA Writer Iain Kidd Fired After Being Convicted Of Possessing Child Porn
Iain Kidd Gameragate SJW

Iain Kidd is a Liberal with an anti-#GamerGate bias (according to remnants of a deleted Twitter chain), prone to mocking whites, and someone who didn’t mind dabbling in sardonically putting down people who criticized beta journalists by calling them “incels”, according to archives recovered by KIA. However, Iain Kidd had a dark secret: he was a collector of child pornography and other extreme content.

The self-proclaimed Liberal was originally convicted back in September, 2018 with child pornography in his possession, as reported by MMA Mania. He was sentenced to community service and placed under house arrest between 7:00pm and 7:00am. This was punishment for collecting nearly 1,000 images and nearly 500 videos of child pornography between 2005 and 2017, as reported by Evening Times.

Three months later SB Nation and Bloody Elbow finally fired the MMA reporter, who had been working with the news outlets since 2014, according to old Twitter archives.

However, following the resurfacing of his conviction of child pornography, Kidd proceeded to delete his entire online presence in hopes of burying his past. But Larry Brown Sports acknowledges that Kidd’s conviction was at odds with his reporting, which focused on sports stars breaching ethics.

Kidd was critical of domestic abusers, and was quite critical of sports stars who didn’t maintain an air of chivalry in their behavior when the spotlight was on them, as was evident in his continued criticisms of those like Mike Dolce and Jon Jones, both of whom were quick to point out Kidd’s duplicitous nature after he was convicted and later fired.

According to a statement from Bloody Elbow and SB Nation, the firing was slow to commence because they were supposedly only informed about Kidd’s behavior on December 7th, 2018.

In a short statement published on December 8th, 2018, they wrote…

“On Friday, Bloody Elbow became aware of news reports linking one of our writers to criminal activities including possession of child pornography. As a result, Bloody Elbow and SB Nation terminated his contract that same day.

“SB Nation and Bloody Elbow strongly condemn the types of activities reported and encourage our readers and listeners to visit Protect Children in Canada, Stop It Now in Scotland, and Darkness 2 Light in the United States for more information to support victims.”

Some people took SB Nation, Bloody Elbow and the parent company, Vox Media, to task for waiting three months before firing Iain Kidd.

Iain Kidd wasn’t quite as outspoken as some other Social Justice Warriors, but he did focus more of his attention on going after sports stars rather than gamers.

Funnily enough, despite his protest against bad behavior, it appeared as if Kidd was possibly attempting to play moral arbiter to absolve the guilt of his own heinous sins.
