Sonic Movie Posters Reveal A Frightening, Perverted, Muscular, Sexy-Legged Hedgehog
Sonic Movie Poster

The upcoming Sonic: The Hedgehog movie isn’t due out until next year on November 8th, 2019, but promotional posters are already popping up for the furry-hedgehog hero, and it’s a frightening mix of an uncanny oniric take on Sonic while also toying with the ingredients for nightmare fuel.

The most obvious change that the poster reveals is that Sonic is now a stoutly, muscular, furry hedgehog with muscular arms and legs. His portrayal is that of an anthropomorphic runner. You can check out the poster via a quick 20 second video that IGN uploaded.

That’s right, Sonic’s original pudgy cartoon design isn’t being used, nor is his more leaner, slender look that he adopted during the new-generation of games. Instead, Jeff Fowler’s take on the character looks like a perverted midget with a fetish for lifting.

It doesn’t help that the latest poster for the film also looks just as unsettling as the first poster, if not moreso. Twitter user Wario64 shared the poster with his followers, and you can check it out below.

The poster depicts a look at some blue swirls moving through the hills and across the Golden Gate Bridge, where we get a shot between Sonic’s open, shapely bare legs. The thick blue fur is evident across his naked body; we get a clearer look at the muscle tone he’s presenting on his eye-catching legs, as well as his iconic red running shoes.

The image attempts to portray Sonic as both fast and sexy, with the poster stopping just short of Sonic’s exposed crotch (whatever that may look like), cropping off at the upper part of his naked inner thigh, where the words are scribbled on the beam “Sonic wuz here”. It’s a disturbingly alluring poster.

The implication of perversion is definitely palpable, so much so that people have been mocking and making fun of the poster all across Twitter with memes.

It doesn’t help that the description for the movie reads like some sort of troll from the writers. The IMDB page states…

“A cop in rural town of Green Hills will help Sonic escape from the government who is looking to capture him.”

The movie is also changing Eggman’s name back to Dr. Ivo Robotnik, who will be played by Jim Carrey.

This whole thing feels like either a giant troll from Sega and Paramount Pictures, or one of the biggest train wrecks waiting to happen in modern day film history.
