Resident Evil 2 Remake Trainer Removes Demo Timer

If you picked up the free demo for Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake and you’re not totally digging that annoying 30 minute time limit on the demo, there’s actually a way to remove the timer from the one-shot demo.

There’s a free trainer download you can grab from over on CheatHappens.com. The trainer is free, unlike a lot of the other premium trainers on the site. So you can download and test it out.

It contains the following Resident Evil 2 features:

Reset Demo Clock

Zombie's Don't Attack

Unlimited Ammo

No Reload

Super Speed

So you not only get to reset the demo clock but you can also disable the zombies from attacking you. This is great for gamers who only want to explore the demo and check out the environments without worrying about being rushed through and hurried to the end of the demo.

Now, the main caveat for this trainer is that it does not work for the PS4 nor the Xbox One versions of the Resident Evil 2 demo.

However, if you’re not keen on downloading the trainer, there’s an additional workaround that gamers have figured out. User TheLastSoldier posted a thread about it over on the Steam forums, which links to a video from YouTuber CursedToast.

Of course, there are still some issues with the timer workaround featured in the thread given that it only works for the first room. Nevertheless, there’s still the option to use the trainer posted above.

The demo is pretty short and you only gain access to a small portion of the police station, featuring a few puzzles, some zombie encounters, and a short cinematic here or there.

You can download the Resident Evil 2 remake demo right now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will only be available for a limited time. The full version of the game is due out on January 25th.
