Nintendo of America’s Senior Exec Briefly Touches On Bayonetta 3’s Release Window

If the words of Nintendo of America’s Senior Product Marketing Manager, Bill Trinen, are anything to go by, it looks like fans of the vivacious and climactic-action series known as Bayonetta might see the third installment sooner than anticipated.

I’m sure fans are well aware that on the official page for Bayonetta 3 shows the upcoming stylized-action game has no official release date, right? Well, according to website it looks like fans might be able to see what the forthcoming title has to offer sooner rather than later.

Something worth noting, Platinum Games has “assured fans” that Bayonetta 3′s development “is coming along well,” which was followed by the Big ‘N’ reinforcing the same information during the recent Nintendo Direct. This raises the question if Bayonetta 3’s development is coming along well, then when will it release?

Thanks to website we learn from Trinen — Nintendo of America’s Senior Product Marketing Manager — the following information:

“This is what I think is so great about the partnership between Nintendo and Platinum Games. Because to me, I look at [Astral Chain] and I see the kind of intense action game that historically you haven’t seen a lot of on Nintendo platforms. With this collaboration with Platinum Games, being able to bring stuff like that… and knowing that they mentioned, of course, Bayonetta 3, [which is] still in the works, it really helps to round out the library overall of what’s available on Switch.

Trinen continues and relays the following:

“And of course, that’s another game that’s maybe coming a little bit sooner than people anticipated, later this year.”

Sure, Trinen said that “maybe” it’s coming a little bit sooner than people anticipated, but he later finished it up with “later this year” fans and gamers alike will see something of the third installment. However, you can be the judge of that by taking a listen to Trinen right here during his time on the Nintendo Power podcast:

With all of that out of the way, do you think Bayonetta 3 will release sooner than anticipated or do you think it will come out much later? However it goes, if Trinen is anything to go by the third game’s launch window is said to be later this year (2019).
