Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Lets You Play Ada Wong
Resident Evil 2 Remake Ada Mod

A model swap mod for Resident Evil 2 Remake lets you take on the role of the super-spy Ada Wong in Capcom’s latest outing for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, you will only be able to play as the vixen in the red dress on the PC version of the game, since the other two home consoles have a closed ecosystem and don’t allow you to mod games, except for maybe Fallout 4, but those mods are limited and kind of suck.

Anyway, modder ZombieAli posted up a model swap mod that you can download from

The 17.74MB file contains a perfectly playable .pak file of Ada in her sexy red dress with the dark tights and heels. As a model swap for Claire, it means that from start to finish in both run ‘A’ and run ‘B’, you’ll be able to play as Ada instead of Claire.

This version of Ada isn’t wearing the trench coat nor the glasses. You can check out the gameplay video below to see how the mod works in action.

The instructions for installing the mod are actually pretty simple.

ZombieAli rolled out a very simple installation guide in a post over on the Resident Evil Modding boards.

You simply have to download the .rar file from

Extract all of the files from the .rar file into the root directory for Resident Evil 2 Remake, located in: Resident Evil 2 Biohazard RE2920563

Once the .pak file is installed, boot up your version of the game and start having fun playing as Ada.

Now, there is something I do have to mention. There are some bugs with the mod.

Resident Evil 2 Remake - Ada Cutscene

As you can see in the image, Ada’s face bugs out during the cinematics, as her rigging isn’t exactly the same as Claire Redfield, and so you’ll notice some discrepancies during the cinematics.

However, for the most part, the mod is completely playable and you shouldn’t have any problems with it.

You can grab a copy of Resident Evil 2 Remake right now for PC from the Steam store for $59.99.
