Scott Cawthon has teamed up with Steel Wool Studios and Lionsgate Games to release Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted on Steam for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, while the game is scheduled to launch on the PlayStation VR for PS4.
The upcoming game is yet another typical Five Nights At Freddy’s experience only this time you’ll be playing with a VR headset on and in a presumably 3D environment instead of the panoramic backdrops that make up most of the other game’s limited scenarios and play spaces.
A 42 second teaser trailer was dropped recently, but it likely went unseen by a lot of people given that there was a ton of other news coming out at the time, especially with the whole Article 11 and Article 13 stuff dropping.
The teaser trailer hints at what the gameplay will likely be like for Freddy’s first foray into the world of virtual reality.
The trailer mostly focuses on what looks like a control center where there are a bunch of monitors, and some of them are receiving feedback from locations where the killer animatronics are located.
Like in typical Five Nights at Freddy’s fashion, the animatronics come to life and begin roaming around whatever location it is where players are located.
It looks like you’ll have to monitor different cameras, looking around using the free-look provided by the headsets, and then do the typical switch flipping or room swapping or locker-hiding that’s been present in other games.
YouTuber FusionZGamer offered gamers a couple of screenshots from the actual gameplay based on a demo that was available at PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts. You can check it out below.
Since it’s launching soon expect it to pop up on the PlayStation Store or on Steam out of nowhere like most other Scott Cawthon titles.
