Kill La Kill – IF Won’t Be Censored On PS4 Or Nintendo Switch, Says PQube
Kill la Kill - IF Uncensored

One of the last remaining publishers with integrity is PQube Games. It should go without saying, but they’re one of the few publishers willing to discuss why games get censored, as well as their dedication to releasing games uncensored as often and as authentic to the true vision of the creator as possible. The same will apply to Kill la Kill – IF, which will be releasing on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in the West, identical to Arc System Works’ Japanese release.

Initially PQube posted a tweet on March 1st, 2019 indicating that they would be partnering with Arc System Works to release Kill la Kill – IF in Europe for the Nintendo Switch and PS4.

Further down the thread someone asked if the game was being censored on the PS4 due to Sony’s censorship policies.

A few people responded saying that it was unlikely to be censored. PQube chimed in to reiterate that point by mentioning that Kill la Kill – IF would not be censored (at least not by them) and it would be a direct, localized port of the Japanese version, carrying over all of the content untouched.

The key to the news is that IF any of the content has to be altered or will be altered for release, PQube will communicate those changes to the general public, as they’ve done in the past.

The company has definitely been very upfront about what’s been going on with their games and what had to be changed, what had to be altered, or what steps and measures they’ve taken to retain the original vision of the author’s creative works when localizing the title.

PQube also took a major hit when Sony forcibly cancelled the release of Omega Labyrinth Z in the West for the PS4 as part of their new censorship regulation policy, which has led to many believing that PQube will re-release the game as a Switch exclusive.

For now, you can look forward to Kill la Kill – IF to make its debut in the West later into 2019 for the Nintendo Switch and PS4.
