With every new game release coming to PS4 or Switch, whether it be a global release or an import from Japan, gamers have become leery of any localization processes and skeptical of the publisher’s intent. Such a scenario played out recently when gamers lightly drilled NIS America about Nippon Ichi Software’s The Princess Guide’s release in the West for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, where the hardcore fans were curious if the game would be censored.
Twitter user Joshua Michael French asked NIS America if the game would censoring The Princess Guide‘s boob movement on the PS4 or Nintendo Switch. The PR account responded on Twitter with the following on March 14th, 2019.
No modifications have been made to the content of #ThePrincessGuide on any platform. All content will be the same as it was in Japan. If any changes were made on any version of the game, we would make sure to inform everyone. Thanks for asking, dood!

This is good news for anyone who was interested in picking up The Princess Guide for either the PS4 or the Nintendo Switch, which sees players training four different princesses and leveling up their abilities as they fight against various foes and learn new skills and abilities to take down bosses in real-time.
You can get an idea of what the gameplay is like with the trailer below, which overviews the basic concept of the gameplay and the characters you’ll be controlling in the single-player strategy role-playing game.
Given the current climate of censorship that has ravaged the gaming industry, with Sony censoring PS4 games and Valve banning anime and visual novels, many gamers are on edge whenever a new Japanese title is released.
In this rare case it appears as if The Princess Guide was not touched… or at least, we’ll find out if it hasn’t been touched when it releases on March 26th, 2019 in the U.S., and on March 29th 2019 in Europe. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
