Jedi: Fallen Order Reportedly Won’t Have DLC, Gameplay Info Set To Be Announced This June

Whether or not you are a fan of the current direction the Star Wars Battlefront games have taken or the direction for the latest Star Wars films, do know that a new entry in the franchise will drop this November. This entry is EA and Respawn Entertainments’ Jedi: Fallen Order, and according to two devs connected to the upcoming title new details have surfaced.

Some folks are excited for Jedi: Fallen Order, while gamers on another field are expressing concerns over microtransactions, political agendas, and EA. In the middle of it all lies info on the game by some of the developers and when gamers will get to see actual gameplay footage.

The director of the game, Stig Asmussen, had the following info to say about Jedi: Fallen Order’s story thanks to publication site gamingbolt.com:

“We knew we weren’t going to be able to make a game that has huge crowds in it. I don’t want to worry about things like creating crowd tech. We decided to make a story that’s more ‘man versus wild.’ That allowed us range to go to different places and explore different places. It’s not just Cal versus the environment, but also Cal versus the elements. To a certain extent, the Empire versus the elements as well.”

In other words, the forthcoming Star Wars game will have a “man vs. wild story.” This means the focus on crowd tech isn’t a top priority but elements and the wild.

Besides Asmussen explanation on Jedi: Fallen Order’s story, Jay Ingram — Community Engagement Specialist at EA — took to Twitter to announce that gameplay info is set for this June.

Also, Ingram used the above tweet as a semi-AMA where fans had the opportunity to ask him multiple questions like a certain Hart who wanted to know EA’s presence behind Jedi: Fallen Order:

Twitter user Jared wanted to know about story freedom/restriction to which Ingram responded that the team is working in tandem with Lucasfilm to tell the game’s story that fits into the overall Star Wars canon:

Emperor Palpamemes wanted to know if there are plans for DLC and at this moment there are none:

An Angry Gothic Girl wanted to know if players can make custom characters (or play other people), but it looks like Cal Kestis will be the main protagonist:

As for perspective in Jedi: Fallen Order, the game will be in third-person like the Jedi: Academy games sans first-person:

Furthermore, gamers will be able to re-explore locations (and do so in-depth when Cal’s abilities reach a certain level) to access places he couldn’t go to before. However, Darth Sotnas question could not be answered in full as seen below:

Moreover, the dev team and crew behind Jedi: Fallen Order are really pushing the whole no microtransactions and DLC narrative. However, time will tell if the team will actually keep to their word or not.

As of right now, the game itself is slated to launch on November 15th, 2019, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
