SNK Corporation revealed a new trailer for Samurai Shodown, detailing the full roster, two additional brand new characters, and the release dates for the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game, which is due out on June 27th, 2019 later this year. The PC, arcade and Nintendo Switch versions of the game are due out during the winter of 2019, according to WCCF Tech.
The trailer reveal for the additional playable characters is a minute and a half long, showcasing more of the combat, the great art-style, and the smooth swordplay.
The trailer introduced Wu-Ruixiang, a Chinese fighter with an unorthodox weapon at her disposal, along with the mysterious new swordsman, Yashamru Kurama.
The trailer gives you a brief glimpse at Kurama posing and talking, but we don’t get to see him actually fighting. We do briefly get to see Wu-Ruixiang using her gong weapon, as well as some of her specials.
Unfortunately she wasn’t the main focus of the trailer, but she did get a spotlight during a livestream for Samurai Spirits, which was posted up over on the SNK Game YouTube channel on April 5th, 2019.
Well into the livestream, at the 1:06:54 mark, we finally get a glimpse at Wu-Ruixiang and her sexy outfit.
While her personality may be demure, the side slits on that dress are anything but coy. All of her leg and thighs are out, and we get the most teasing peek what she might be wearing underneath. I’m sure there will be plenty of people having her kick or jump and then pausing it at the right moment all in an attempt to catch snippet of her undergarments.
We also see that they gave Wu-Ruixiang some ample bosoms. While no cleavage is on display, she’s still a very curvaceous woman. You can tell SNK went in the opposite direction of NetherRealm Studios, who decided to censor their women and tone them down compared to what they wore in every single other Mortal Kombat game before Mortal Kombat 11.
I’m sure a lot of people are also disappointed that some returning fan-favorites like Mina Majikina didn’t make a return to the franchise, but I’m sure SNK sees the money on the wall and will likely have her made available as post-launch DLC.
As mentioned, you can look to get your hands on the Unreal Engine-powered Samurai Shodown on PS4 and Xbox One starting June 27th. The game will release on PC and Nintendo Switch this winter.
