Senran Kagura: Peach Ball Will Launch Uncensored In The West On Nintendo Switch
Senran Kagura

Marvelous Entertainment announced that Senran Kagura: Peach Ball, the niche pinball game that came out in Japan on the Switch back in December, will launch in the West for the Switch this summer.

The news came via a blog post by Marvelous Entertainment, who announced that the cheeky, fan-service laden pinball game will be released with all of the content intact. The game centers around Haruka’s experiment having turned some of the girls from the shinobi academy into sexy animal girls and it’s up to players to reverse the experiment using the mystical Peach Ball, which is only available inside of a pinball machine.

The game will feature customizable tables, mini-games, a story mode, the diorama mode, and the Intimacy Mode located within the dressing room. Now some gamers were obviously worried that maybe the dressing room or Intimacy Mode would be censored, but Twinfinite is reporting that Marvelous has confirmed that the game will release uncensored in the West.

On April 5th, 2019 Marvelous responded to a concerned gamer, letting them know that none of the content was being removed.

Twinfinite also noted that Marvelous won’t be bringing older games from the Senran Kagura franchise to the Switch. So port-begging won’t do you any good.

Marvelous will handle the European release, which will include a launch in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom, while XSeed Games will handle the launch in the Americas. This will be a eShop only digital release, so don’t expect any big box copies.

The game came out in Japan back in December, but it wasn’t a big seller. Maybe with some proper promotion and an ample presence in the core gaming sectors Marvelous might be able to convince gamers to pick up a copy this summer.

Senran Kagura Peach Ball - Western Release

The only downside is that it’s tough to tell what the future of Senran Kagura might be like now that Kenichiro Takaki is parting ways from Marvelous Entertainment after the whole PS4 censorship debacle. Hopefully the series will be able to press onward and upward since it’s one of the last few remaining fan-service games for home consoles on the market today.
