NetherRealm Studios revealed that the first Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11 includes six characters, including Spawn, Shang Tsung, Sindel, Nightwolf, and two other guest characters that will be revealed at a later date.
According to a tweet from the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account, the DLC will enter into early access (yes, there is somehow early access even for DLC content, which is embarrassing and pathetic) starting June 18th. The first character to be made available will be Shang Tsung, with the others to follow thereafter.

According to a tweet from Ed Boon, the other two characters will be announced at a later date. We know that one of them will contain a chainsaw, which likely means that the rumors about Ash Williams being in the game might turn out to be true, even though actor Bruce Campbell said that he wasn’t going to be in the game.
Ed Boon also seemed to hint at NieR: Automata’s YoRHa type 2B being in the game, but it could be misdirection. Also it would seem really weird that they would allow a character as gorgeous and well designed as 2B appear in a game where all the women either look like little boys or are manly and completely unattractive due to being de-sexualized.

The tweets were also accompanied with a two and a half minute long trailer showcasing Shang Tsung’s abilities. His combos actually look buttery smooth, and the way he can transition from one fighter to the next and combo the specials together to create new chains is almost pure fighting game perfection. It’s just a shame that such a cool character is attached to a product that was designed as a vehicle for SJW propaganda.
You can check out the Shang Tsung trailer below to get a look at his moves, Fatal Blows, and his Fatality, which includes a nod to Kintaro.
Okay, I do have to admit that seeing Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa reprise his role as Shang Tsung did hit me in the nostalgia gonads. The reference to the original 1995 Mortal Kombat film quote where he points at the camera and says “Your soul is mine!” was kind of epic. Still, that doesn’t excuse the game for its faults or for de-sexualizing the females to promote the SJW agenda.
As mentioned above, the early access for Shang Tsung starts on June 18th a couple of days after E3 wraps up. I’m sure after that (or around that time) NetherRealm will reveal the other two characters for the DLC Kombat Pack, which will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch owners.
