Warhammer: Chaosbane’s Endgame Content Includes New Game+, Boss Rush, Expedition Mode

Bigben Interactive and EKO Software rolled out some details for the endgame content in the upcoming action-RPG Warhammer: Chaosbane. There will be additional modes and different ways to play after you beat the game.

The new features were detailed in a three and a half minute trailer, which quickly went over the New Game+ mode where you can replay the game with a new character while keeping everything you unlocked from the previous playthrough, including all of your money, crafting equipment, fragments, weapons, and armor. Additionally, there are three extra modes you can unlock after beating the game, including the Expedition Mode, the Relic Hunt mode, and the Boss Rush mode. You can get a glimpse of the modes in the trailer below.

The French developers explain that all of the unlocked content are attached to the player’s profile and will carry over no matter if they’re creating a new character or playing with an old one.

In the Expedition Mode you’ll be able to play solo or with up to several other friends across randomly generated maps, giving you fresh new encounters each and every time you play.

The procedurally generated levels also carry over into the Relic Hunt mode, where you’ll go to the Collector’s Guild to purchase a map and attempt to acquire relics in dungeons with varying difficulty levels and challenges to complete. As mentioned in the video, the higher the difficulty the better your chances of acquiring top-tier gear.

The final mode is Boss Rush mode. This is unlocked after you beat all of the bosses in the Story Mode and complete it. The Boss Rush is timed, though. So you’ll have to defeat all of the major bosses as quickly as possible.

EKO Software also has plans on releasing both free and paid content, including brand new difficulty modes and new gear, along with a new permadeath mode and the Heroic Sets. Heading into the fall there will be yet another new difficulty mode along with new loot elements implemented into the game. The final free update there will be a level cap increase for the player characters.

The paid content will include four emotes for the player-characters set to arrive in early summer. In the later summer they have plans on adding a new god skill tree for each of the character builds, and then heading into the fall there will be a pet pack, and finally a brand new story quest mode with new locations and enemies.

You can look for Warhammer: Chaosbane to drop for Xbox One, PS4, and on Steam for PC starting June 4th, 2019.
