Young Turks’ Hasan Piker Targets Female YouTuber For Not Liking Jax’s Woke Ending In Mortal Kombat 11

There seems to be this code within the Social Justice circles to attack women and minorities if they step out of line, escape from the plantation of thought, or defy the Regressive Left’s ideological hegemony. This isn’t just a word salad of Culture War idioms, this is a common practice among those whom identify on the Left as Social Justice Warriors. It’s become an indicative trait amongst their ranks to rake neutrals, moderates, and centrists over the coals when they commit wrongthink, and that’s exactly what the Young Turk’s Hasan Piker did to YouTuber Liana Kerzner for not liking Jax’s ending in Mortal Kombat 11.

Piker was alerted to a video that Liana Kerzner posted up the week Mortal Kombat 11 launched, where she criticized Jax’s Tower Mode ending in the game, because NetherRealm Studios decided to use the patriotic American soldier to proselytize Left-wing politics. You can view his ending below to see what all the fuss is about.

For context, Jax has typically been portrayed as a Right-wing character; championing guns, freedom, family, military, and the American way in his pursuit to protect his friends and Earthrealm. Jax has basically been this way since Mortal Kombat 2, and Social Justice or racism was never an aspect of his character portrayal over the last 26 years. However, in the latest game NetherRealm decided to rewrite his character to champion the Regressive Left’s talking points in his Tower Mode ending, leading to every real fan of Jax recoiling in disgust.

Hasan Piker first picked apart Kerzner’s video in a 21 minute stream published on April 28th, 2019. The video is basically him laughing and scoffing at a woman who isn’t bending over to suckle on the ideological phallus of the Intersectional Inquisition’s propaganda.

Hasan’s commentary was too lightweight to quote for any significant points of intellect, since he had no knowledge of Mortal Kombat and isn’t a gamer. He was also completely uninformed about Kerzner, so had no actual arguments to mount against anything she said other than jocular sarcasm and witless guffaws. His only verbal rebuttals to Kerzner was basically just to mock her by coming up with the term “Femcel” to diminish her opinion.

There isn’t much substance to Hasan’s video, which led to Kerzner responding to it on Twitter, thinking that it was supposed to be some kind of journalism. Hasan responded by saying he was a gamer not a journalist.

This is incorrect. Hasan Piker has a profile on The Huffington Post, which reads…

“Hasan Piker is an entertainment and political journalist known for his explainer videos on The Young Turks that provide detailed analysis on the top news stories of the day.”

So either he was being facetious or trying to dodge out of his role of being a journalist.

To be fair, it wasn’t actually a journalistic piece, it was just the mumblings and ramblings of an uninformed pundit criticizing another pundit.

But it didn’t end there.

Hasan’s fans began to hound Kerzner on Twitter, debating and accusing her of racism, which is what Hasan inferred in his video.

There’s an entire thread of drama that also unfolded over on Kerzner’s Twitter account as well as an attack thread on the Hasan Piker sub-reddit, which led to Kerzner making a 15 minute rebuttal video on April 29th, 2019.

The gist of her argument was that he framed the video in a way to use it as propaganda to diminish her points, saying…

“[…] There’s something odd about a guy defining feminism for a woman. He has no idea what form of feminism I practice. He has no clue about me. He didn’t know who I was by his own admission in the video. He jumped to wild conclusions based on my race. And he knows nothing about me or the kind of thing that I do. This is so typical of the Left. […]

“All of the assumptions he made about me are wrong.”

Kerzner also corrects Hasan that she isn’t a “Femcel” since she’s married.

She also notes that he didn’t seem to mind breaking away from his own principles of being a male feminist to attack a woman for not sharing the same opinion as him. In fact, in his bio on Politicon, which reads…

“Hasan has worked with organizations such as Muslims For Progressive Values, March For Our Lives, Black Lives Matter. His activism is rooted in social and economic justice, LGBTQ+ rights, Muslim rights, intersectional feminism, gun control, pro-peace initiatives, and sustainable energy initiatives.”

Hilariously enough, Hasan doesn’t seem particularly bothered about going on the attack against women if they criticize Left-wing “wokeness”.

The video was then picked up by Kotaku In Action, and when the sub caught wind of it so did the Reddit subs that house the fans of Hasan and another YouTuber going by the name of Destiny.

They made a post about it on the Hasan Piker sub, which basically rallied the troops via beta bell.

Kotaku in Action was then flooded with brigaders attempting to continue the attack against Kerzner on behalf of Hasan.

Card

This also led to Kerzner doing a follow-up video canvassing all of the drama.

The entire fiasco unfolded with all the finesse one would expect from a matchbook catching fire from within the dried pages of a Tolstoy novel on the dusty bookshelf of an old library.

However, the moral of the story is that the integrity of the virtue signaling and feminist tendentiousness from the Regressive Left is about as thick  as a cardboard cutout at a carnival photo op.

The reality is that male feminists and Social Justice Warriors are typically the most racist, sexist, bigoted people you’ll ever encounter. In fact, Hasan had no actual argument about Jax’s woke ending in Mortal Kombat 11 other than that “slavery is bad”. In his mind minorities are only good for being plantation wheelbarrows for Left-wing propaganda. Character breadth, character depth, story arcs, and narrative continuity don’t mean anything to these people because to them, characters in fiction are are reduced to being defined by their skin color.

For SJWs, someone like Jax has no depth outside of being a slave to the Liberal orthodoxy, so they see no problems with throwing away more than 26 years worth of character development in order to virtue signal. This is why it’s so easy for SJWs to bask in being unconsciously racist, and in this particular case, unconsciously sexist.
