Another Eight Games Marked Down To 20 Bucks As PlayStation Hits

If you’re looking to get in some cheap gaming over the summer, a collection of eight titles have now been added to the PlayStation Hits collection, each one going for 20 bucks.

There are a lot of reasons not to fork over $60 for a game, including the fact that just about everything will go on sale at some point. As for the biggest commercial hits on home consoles, they frequently end up in a collection like the ongoing PlayStation Hits line. There are already over 30 games included in those offerings and, this summer, another eight have been announced for the lineup.

According to the PlayStation Blog, those games include LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Star Wars Battlefront, Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War III, Resident Evil VII, Nioh and Mad Max. Nothing on the roster is particularly new, unfortunately. I think RE7 and Nioh are the most recent offerings, having launched about two years ago. But still, collections like this aren’t meant for folks who want to be on the bleeding-edge of the hobby. For folks just now making the jump to the newest batch of consoles, though, it certainly gives you more options for gaming without breaking the bank.

Other games in the PlayStation Hits collection include DOOM, Bloodborne, Shadow of Mordor, Yakuza 0 and Dying Light.  The original post has an image of the full lineup, in case you’re interested. Every one of these games sold a hell of a lot of copies, hence their being permanently dropped to $19.99. The summer months are traditionally slow for new game releases, so maybe you’ll find something to keep you busy amidst those ranks.

If not, feel free to share great deals you’ve found recently in the comments below. The remainder of this current console generation is looking a little slow, truth be told, so we could all use some extra help finding discounts on worthwhile games.
