Bethesda Seemingly Fixes Doom 1 And Doom 2 Re-Download Xbox “Bug”

Bethesda has been really proactive this time around regarding the latest glitches that have surfaced, and it’s not the “good” kind of activity. The focus this time around is on Doom 1 and Doom 2 as featured in the new Doom Trilogy pack. The said pack has a lot of issues that somehow affected the Xbox 360 versions. But lo, Bethesda has seemingly addressed the “bug.”

The Doom Trilogy pack has so many problems it would take a while if I were to list them. Contrary to jotting down every problem for your amusement housed in the re-release, I’ll focus on the latest “fix” that Bethesda issued out that tackles a highly suspicious “problem.”

As it stands now, if you happen to own or have previously purchased these Xbox 360 titles, you can now re-download them on your Xbox.

Using sarcasm like Bethesda using its player base, Twitter user Scrubbles goes into Bethesda like a hungry lion starved of a good game:

Despite those using common sense calling Bethesda out on providing crappy service, there are others out there that defend the company as if their life depends on it much like this scenario:

As a summary, the Xbox 360 versions of Doom 1 and Doom 2 randomly disappear right after Bethesda issues out a DRM riddled version for sale. After being pressured, access to the Xbox 360 releases of Doom 1 and Doom 2 appear back in the “Ready to Install” dashboard on the Xbox family of consoles.
