Netflix’s The Witcher Showrunner Tries To Defend Some Of The Poor Decisions For The Show
The Witcher

Anyone who is a real fan of the original book series of The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski or a fan of CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher trilogy has been sorely disappointed with what has been revealed of Netflix’s race-swapped and “diversity”-ridden The Witcher series. The showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich, has been attempting to defend the poor decisions of the show on social media, attempting to quell some of the fan unrest, which included some criticisms from “Angry” Joe Vargas, who is typically on-board with the media’s “diversity” agenda.

After taking a hiatus from social media following politically charged comments made last year, Hissrich recently emerged back onto social media like a bad case of herpes during a blind date to defend the decisions they made for the live-action Netflix adaptation of Sapkowski’s book series. Her textual rampart was spread across various tweets, which were featured in a 13 minute video by LegacyKillaHD.

Hissrich was confronted about the terrible casting and visage of Triss Merigold in the upcoming live-action show. Hissrich attempted to defend the decision claiming that they tried keeping her close to how she was descriped in Sapkowski’s writings.

When fans confronted her with illustrations and comparisons, and how CD Projekt Red seemed to capture how Triss was described in the books, which is the complete opposite of how she’s portrayed in the show, Hissrich deflected by claiming that the “books aren’t “illustrated”.

Someone else pointed out that Triss was described as having blue eyes, but obviously since Anna Shaffer has brown eyes she looks nothing like Triss in the trailer. When confronted with this fact, Hissrich had to admit defeat in this area, thus proving that it’s not about them trying to adapt the book, so much as it is about undermining the casting of white actors into roles based on fictional characters who were supposed to be white.

Another fan pointed out that the race and culture-swapping taking place in the show was directly antipodes to what Hissrich said she wouldn’t do, but did in spades when it comes to the dryads, who were made black and hinted at having some kind of oppressive story arc to feed into Left-wing propaganda.

Completely blown out by the facts and the truth, Hissrich snuck out of the conversation like a snake slithering into the reeds.

Later, however, she came out to defend the show from a very light bit of criticism posed by “Angry” Joe Vargas.

Like the typical tyro of Left-wing propaganda, Vargas put on his subservient face and kowtowed to Hissrich, apologizing. However, he did fire back about the armor depicted in the show, noting that it looks like “ballsack” armor.

It’s true, they look like beta males cosplaying as a black scrotum.

Here’s a comparison image below.

Hissrich dismissed the criticisms by equivocating with an anecdote about playing the games instead of addressing “Angry” Joe’s point.

I would just like to point out that everyone saying that the show is purely based on the books and not the game is either daft or lying. In the main image you can clearly see that Henry Cavill, playing as Geralt of Rivia, is wearing similar leather-chainmail armor popularized by CD Projekt Red.

The Witcher 3

The simple fact of the matter is that as fans pointed out in the tweets, Hissrich is selectively picking and choosing what to pull from the books and what to pull from the games.

However, you’ll notice that they absolutely took horrible liberties with race-swapping many of the white characters for no discernible reason whatsoever other than to push Left-wing propaganda.

A bunch of beta males will defend Hissrich because that’s what they do, and a bunch of dishonest and disingenuous media outlets will try to twist themselves in a pretzel to make it as if Sapkowski is fine with the erasure of Polish culture, but we all know that that’s hogwash.

At the end of the day, Netflix is intent on brainwashing the masses with their degenerate nonsense. Anyone with common sense would opt out of supporting such a defacing of a classic Polish tale for the sake of minimizing its cultural influence on entertainment media.
