ININ Games announced that The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors, is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4 starting August 30th at the end of next month both in Europe and in North America.
The game is a remake of Tengo Project’s home console beat-’em-up. The upcoming remake features all new sprites, remade backgrounds, and enhanced animations. The game looks snappy and sharp, and it’s especially nice to know that the remake features a nice overhaul of the female ninjas, giving them bigger and bouncier boobs, which is arguably the most important thing about the female ninja animations.
The game retains all of the hardcore, hard-hitting action from the console version, with improved playability, controls and co-op gameplay making a return from the popular 1990s outing.
As you’ll note, the kunoichi is made even bigger and bustier than her original design from the 1990s console outing. Taito and ININ Games did the complete opposite of almost every single Western developer out there where they purposely make all the female characters look androgynous or completely unattractive.
Gameplay wise, The Ninja Saviors keeps it simple, with plenty of basic combos, grabs, and environmental hazards with which to dispatch enemies. You can also utilize each of the ninja warriors’ special moves to clear out the screen.
The trailer doesn’t focus on any of the new playable characters, just the original three characters from the old 1990s beat-’em-up, but I’m sure there will be another trailer releasing down the line that will give gamers a look at the new cyborg waifu and the other giant robot ninja.
As mentioned, you can look for The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors to launch on the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch starting August 30th at the end of the month. I’m pretty sure a PC version might come down the pipeline, but I’m totally fine with getting this game on the Switch.
