Xbox Lackluster Gamescom 2019 Schedule Revealed

Xbox will be showing up to Gamescom 2019 and will have nothing all that great to show according to the list the company just released. However, Bethesda Softworks and id Softwares’ Doom: Eternal will make an appearance at Xbox’s showing where a playable demo will be up for the curious.

On majornelson.com we learn that Xbox will be hosting a special episode of Inside Xbox live from the Gloria Theatre in Cologne, which will stand as a platform to relay the latest news, games, accessories, and features.

Of course, titles like Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition, Battletoads, Bleeding Edge, Gears 5, Minecraft Dungeons, and more will be there, but the only game that stands out is Doom: Eternal.

Anyway, the Xbox schedule showing off titles during the European version of E3 will see August 21st as the kick-off day — ending on the 23rd of August. Entry is free, and fans will be able to participate in community events, game tournaments, and panel sessions:

  • Tuesday: August 20th – 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. CEST
  • Wednesday: August 21st – 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. CEST
  • Thursday: August 22nd – 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. CEST
  • Friday: August 23rd – 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. CEST
  • Saturday: August 24th – 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. CEST

It’s also worth noting that Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC will be at the event, which is accompanied by third-party games such as the infamous NBA 2K20, Borderlands 3, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

You can read the list of third-party titles to appear at Gamecom 2019 and how Project xCloud will be at the event, too:

“[…] We’ll have several highly anticipated third-party games available to play at the booth, including Borderlands 3, Doom Eternal, NBA 2K20, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Fans at gamescom will also be amongst the first in Europe to get hands-on with Project xCloud and experience the true power of cloud gaming on mobile.”

Personally speaking, this lineup isn’t anything special. However, if you want to go hands-on with Doom: Eternal or Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, then Xbox show floor at this year’s Gamescom should have you covered.
