Sega announced not too long ago that they would unveil a triple-A game at Gamescom 2019. Naturally, many people thought it was going to be Humankind, and if it is, the newly revealed PC game coming to Steam falls in line with recent civilization sims.
Firstly, Amplitude Studios is best known for the Endless franchise and commonly produces DLC for said series. Well, Sega is the publisher over Amplitude Studios’ Humankind and tweeted out the following to give gamers and potential fans a clue as to what is to come next year.
Leave your mark on the world in HUMANKIND, a new historical strategy game from Amplitude Studios. Create a civilization that’s as unique as you are by combining 60 historical cultures from the Bronze to the Modern Age.

According to the devs, Humankind is all about leaving your mark throughout history and creating a civilization by combining “60 historical cultures” from the Bronze Age up through the Modern Age.
Personally, with the following image of Cleopatra, get ready for Sega or Amplitude Studios to lash out in some form or way to score victim points by doing something extreme or shutting down a Steam forum to reduce “toxicity”:
While we wait to see if modding will be a thing or if the devs will crack down on it like Total War: Three Kingdoms, you can check out the latest trailer that appeared at Gamescom 2019: Opening Night Live below:
“HUMANKIND is Amplitude Studios’ magnum opus, a Historical Strategy game where YOU will re-write the entire narrative of humankind – a convergence of culture, history, and values that allows you to create a civilization that is as unique as you are. HOW FAR WILL YOU PUSH HUMANKIND?”
