Your Waifu Foxgirl Konko, Live2D Dating Sim Heads To Kickstarter For English Localization
Your Waifu Foxgirl Konko

DLsite and Megami Soft announced that they’ve kicked off a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund for the English localization of Konko to no Nichijou, or コン狐との日常, better known in English speaking circles as Your Waifu Foxgirl Konko.

The Kickstarter campaign is currently seeking just over $23,000 for the visual novel, and they have a little under a month to go to reach the goal.

The dating sim has no ending and no kinetic storyline, but instead focuses on the user being able to communicate and interact with the foxgirl, Konko. You’ll interact with her across a number of different locations, and utilize the in-game mechanics to interact with Konko and attempt to embrace the kawaii nature of the game.

You can see what the general theme is like with the Kickstarter pitch video below.

There are various scenarios where you can interact with Konko, from the quaint temple setting to the after school club, you’ll be able to be able to experience the day-to-day life with Konko while developing a budding relationship with the foxgirl, which can eventually become intimate.

Of course the game will also include customizations for Konko that you can unlock using an in-game gacha system that does not rely on real money, and you can modify her look to suit your needs.

The visual novel dating sim also allows for interactive elements and dynamic reactions such as… head-patting. Oh yes, the dreaded head-patting… something that Western game developers loathe with every fiber of their being, since it is a highly affectionate trait that can oftentimes lead people to developing stronger bonds. If this happens between two heterosexuals then it causes Left-wing propagandists to flip out in fury and rage.

Anyway, if you’re not entirely convinced about the game there’s actually a playable demo you can check out that can be loaded through the browser or through your smartphone. You can check out the demo for Your Waifu Foxgirl Konko via the Megami Soft trial page.

If all goes well and they’re able to hit the stretch goals, they plan on adding a hot spring segment at the $28,000 mark.

They have plans on getting the localization up and out by March, 2020. For more information or to contribute to the cause, feel free to visit the Kickstarter campaign page.
